Why praising goddess when can’t respect women??

Why praising goddess when can’t respect women??

Maximum number of people has the mentality of choosing son over daughter. Even many educated people involve in Female Infanticide. They pray to Goddess Durga, Kali, Parvati and so on, but still prefer to have a son in family, who can take their name ahead. Even if the girl child is born, they do not get the same love and respect as her male sibling.  The increasing number of rapes suggests how the women are considered as an object.

This relative of mine is a perfect example of this. He adores his son, but hates his wife and daughter. He takes alcohol daily and sometimes even turns violent towards his family. But, he turns very religious in Navratras, does nine days fasting, avoids alcohol, and sleeps on floor. He believes in doing Hawan in Navratras to make Goddess Durga happy. And on tenth day of Navratra, he resumes his daily life. He is again the same, insulting his wife and daughter.

My question is, how can Goddess be happy, if we can’t respect our own women? Doing hawan, poojas, and spending unnecessarily on making her happy won’t actually make her happy. Her true happiness lies in respecting women and doing the positive karmas.

Chatpati Chai

CHATPATI CHAI

Gossiping, as we term it, is the favourite time pass of many people. Knowing about our favourite neighbours and getting more information about our colleagues in work space is the routine of many people. But, it’s not always considered unhealthy, in fact, sometimes it is the reason for increasing productivity.

Homemakers take out some time to do this healthy gossip with Chai and Snacks, and office goers take a short break to indulge in this and refresh them. We may consider it as a bad habit, to unofficially involve more in others life, but, sometimes, it’s not that bad.

This practise sometimes rejuvenates people, and stops them from being restricted. They open up more and their discussions give them inner happiness. So, it not always bad you see, sometimes it’s just a healthy practise.
